FHC-XX | Resubscribing a Client | May 17, 2024 | 1.3 |
This article describes how to resubscribe a client to receive electronic communications (email) from the CRM after the client has requested to be unsubscribed.
This article is divided into two sections:
NOTE: This article currently addresses the CRM portion of the process. Steps required within SendGrid will be made available elsewhere.
Enabling the Resubscribe Feature
-
To ensure the feature is active, go to the Admin Tab and select Roles from the Navigation Bar.
- Select the role associated with the client that wishes to re-subscribe.
-
Go to the Contacts section of the page, under Modules / Permissions, and search for “Resubscribe Client” (likely located in the 2nd or 3rd column - see below)
-
Click the checkbox next to “Resubscribe Client” to activate that feature, and then click Save from the Navigation Bar.
Steps to Resubscribe a Client
-
Go to the Contacts Tab and select the contact who wishes to be re-subscribed for electronic communications.
-
From the Client Dashboard, scroll down the page and confirm that there is a triangular icon next to the email address (see highlighted image below). This is what indicates if the contact is unsubscribed. If you hover over the triangular icon, you will see “Unsubscribed” appear (also shown below).
-
-
A dialog box then opens, confirming that you have received permission from this contact to resubscribe. Click the “Accept” button to continue (or click Deny if unsure).
-
A confirmation message will then appear at the bottom middle of the page to confirm that the contact was successfully resubscribed.
-
To confirm that the client was resubscribed to receive electronic communications, return to the Contacts Tab and select the contact who wishes to be re-subscribed.
-
On the left side of the Client Dashboard, you should see that the triangular warning icon has disappeared, indicating that the contact has been resubscribed.
