Overview
NOTE: This article currently addresses the FORTH portion of the process. Steps required within SendGrid will be made available elsewhere.
Clients who opt out of electronic communications cannot receive automated or direct emails from the FORTH system. When a client requests to resume email communications, you must manually update their subscription status. Manually updating this status restores delivery of marketing and operational emails while maintaining accurate consent records. This process ensures your team can efficiently contact clients while respecting user preferences.
Prerequisites
- System Administrator access to enable role permissions.
- Standard user access to the FORTH CRM with the Resubscribe Client permission assigned.
How to Access
- Log in to the FORTH CRM.
- To enable permissions: Navigate to Admin > Roles > [User Role] > Modules / Permissions > Contacts.
- To resubscribe a client: Navigate to Contacts > [Select Contact] > E-Marketing.
How it Works
Enable the Resubscribe Feature (Administrators)
- Log in to the FORTH CRM.
- Click the Admin tab.
-
Select Roles from the navigation bar.
- Select the user role associated with the team members who need to resubscribe clients.
-
Go to the Contacts section under Modules / Permissions.
- Search for Resubscribe Client (located in the 2nd or 3rd column).
- Click the checkbox next to Resubscribe Client to activate the feature.
- Click Save on the navigation bar.
Resubscribe a Client
- Click the Contacts tab.
- Select the contact who requested to resubscribe to electronic communications.
-
From the Client Dashboard, scroll down and check for a triangular warning icon next to the email address. Hover over the icon to confirm it displays "Unsubscribed."
- Scroll to the top of the page and select the E-Marketing subtab.
- Locate the warning message under the E-Marketing Summary header.
-
Click Re-Subscribe Contact.
- Review the confirmation dialog box.
-
Click Accept to confirm that the contact gave authorization to resubscribe (or click Deny if consent is unconfirmed).
-
Verify that a success confirmation message appears at the bottom center of the page.
-
Return to the Contacts tab and open the client profile to verify that the triangular warning icon no longer appears next to the email address.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
-
Why does the client still not receive emails after resubscribing in FORTH?
This procedure updates the subscription status inside the FORTH CRM. External email delivery services (such as SendGrid) maintain independent suppression lists. Additional steps outside FORTH may be required to clear suppression lists in third-party providers. -
Why is the Re-Subscribe Contact button missing on the E-Marketing tab?
Your user role may lack access. Ask your CRM Administrator to enable the Resubscribe Client option in Admin > Roles > Modules / Permissions > Contacts.
