This article describes the Settings page used for the Clixsign feature in the FORTH system. It is organized into the following sections:
Overview
Clixsign is FORTH's proprietary electronic document signing platform. To enable this platform and gain access to the Clixsign settings page, contact Support@setforth.com.
How to Access
To update your Clixsign Settings, go to Admin tab > Settings > Clixsign
How to Use
Signature Options
In the default Signature Options section (see image above), choose one of the following options for the Signature Type:
- Draw & Type: This allows the signer to use their mouse or smart pen to draw a signature or type their name, and allows the system to generate a signature.
- Draw Only: This forces the signer to draw their signature using their mouse or smart pen.
- Type Only: This forces the signer to sign using the system-generated signature.
Under Enforce Signing Order by Default, to enforce the signing order by default, which requires signers to sign documents in a specific order, click this checkbox.
Under Enable Auto-Scroll During Signing, for signers to be automatically scrolled to the next required field as they complete a document, click this checkbox.
Under Include ClixSign certificate, to ensure a signed contract from the 'Signed Contract / Gateway Authorization' section will include the certificate, click this checkbox.
Click Save before continuing.
IMPORTANT
ClixSign Setting updates do NOT retroactively apply to ClixSign documents already sent.Delivery and Notifications
In the Delivery & Notifications section (2nd item on the list), there are four subsections:
- Enable Clixsign Notifications
- Document Delivery Methods
- New Signature Request
- Document Successfully Signed
- In the Enable Clixsign Notifications portion of the page, system administrators can enable notifications for specific document statuses - such as 'Sent,' 'Opened,' 'Completed,' or 'Declined' - so that the user who originally sent the document is kept informed of its progress. This improves visibility and helps users track documents more effectively.
- Click Yes or No to enable or disable Clixsign notifications.
- Select from the dropdown menu below the Yes/No radio buttons to select Clixsign notifications types to enable. Users can now receive email and in-app notifications for key events in the Clixsign document lifecycle.
- In the Document Delivery Methods subsection, you decide using the radio buttons shown how you want signers to receive their document links. The options are: Email & SMS, Email Only, and SMS Only.
- In the New Signature Request subsection, provide a default message that will be sent with all ClixSign requests. This can be edited during document generation. (see below):
-
In the Document Successfully Signed subsection, complete the message body that will be included in the email notification sent to a signer when they successfully complete signing their document.
Click Save before continuing.
Expiration and Reminders
In this section, the user can configure document expiration limits and automated reminders for all new Clixsign requests.
Enter your desired timeframe in the Default Expiration Window (Days) field. This sets the initial expiration period for new requests, calculated from the creation date.
Enter a threshold in the Maximum Expiration Window (Days) field. The system pre-fills this value to 30 days upon initial rollout.
Locate the Signer Reminders section.
Check the Send automatic reminders checkbox to create a reminders schedule for completing documents before they expire.
Enter a value in Days before sending first reminder (REQUIRED). This number must be less than your configured maximum expiration window.
Enter a value in Days between reminders (REQUIRED) to control how frequently follow-up notifications send to pending signers. NOTE: This can not be zero (0).
Click Save before continuing.
Branding
To display your company logo, click the Display Company Logo radio button. Click Save to continue.
Company Access
In the Company Access section (see image below), each company in your CRM will be listed. You may enable any company listed to have Clixsign access by changing the toggle switches to the "on" position for that company (see the example shown below highlighted by a red arrow).
Click Save to save your work in this section.
