Exporting Contacts

The following article describes the contact exporting capability of the FORTH CRM. This article includes the following topics:

Overview

The Export function allows you to export sets of contact files into a comma-separated values file (.CSV). This capability can be useful for identifying duplicates, correcting email addresses in your contact list, and/or correcting typos.

Exporting a list

1. From the Contacts tab, select one of the following:
   • With List lets you edit the entire contact list by clicking "Export Full Report"; or
   • With Selected lets you edit only selected contact files by selecting the contacts you wish to export, selecting export from the dropdown menu, and clicking the checkmark icon next to the dropdown menu.

2. You should receive an Information Privacy warning like that shown below.
3. When the file is ready, a notice will appear on the screen confirming that your list export request is now ready to download and that the downloadable file is available under the "My Exports" section of the Reports tab/module. 
4. Click Continue to proceed.

Exporting data tables and columns

You may select any data columns you specify (see example below) to include and ultimately export into a .CSV file for making sorting data easier in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or any other spreadsheet program that can read .CSV files. For information on adding columns to lists, see our Help Center article titled: Contact Lists: Build, Filter and Edit. 

NOTE
Export may take several minutes if exporting a large volume of contact files.
