Overview
The ForthTM Team developed a native integration called Forth Credit (powered by Spinwheel) to provide a unique solution to obtaining your customer's credit. This new paid enhancement improves the credit pull experience and provides a frictionless onboarding experience for DSRPs.
Forth Credit leverages Spinwheel’s technology to verify identities, pull consumer credit, and store it within the Forth CRM. The consumer-facing page is secured via SSL to encrypt all traffic on that page, and individual consumer requests are protected via one-time URLs. Additionally, there is no need to create and maintain multiple sets of credentials for Forth Credit in your account - Forth manages a single credential set for all DSRPs utilizing this service.
This feature sends the consumer an Email or SMS link to authorize their credit to be pulled using a “soft credit inquiry” via Equifax. This link provides a secure experience for consumers to validate their personal information. Liabilities and debts retrieved in this manner are not changed or modified and will be reported back to the CRM in near real-time for the user to view.
The feature automatically adds debts to the client file (excluding debts with a $0.00 balance). A User can then choose which debts to enroll. Unlike other credit pull integrations, Forth Credit does not require authorization from the provider as live approval is secured from the consumers themselves.
The technology behind this integration reduces the pain that DSRPs face when reaching compliance or staying compliant by using a certain credit pull provider, as it shifts the burden of customer verification to the consumer. This is beneficial in onboarding a new DSRP as now they can be up and running faster than other conventional providers.
NOTE: Currently, the credit pull is for the Primary Contact only. Co-applicant credit pull capabilities do not exist and users will need to execute a separate Forth Credit request on the co-applicant.
Finally, this feature adds the Credit Report PDF to the ‘Uploaded Files’ segment of the Docs tab.
Activation
Your CRM account will need to be signed up for Forth Credit. If you have not and are interested, please contact us at sales@setforth.com or call (630) 394. 6260. This feature is enabled as an Add-On. Activation is as simple as that; there are no additional steps for setup!
NOTE: It will be enabled for all companies within an account.
Using Forth Credit
Once set up with Forth Credit, log in to the CRM and go to the “Contact” tab. From here, either create a new contact or search for an existing user by entering the User’s ID in the Search field at the top left of the screen.
Once a contact is saved in the CRM, you'll gain access to the "Send the Credit Verification Link" button on the Debts subtab/nested tab found on the Client Dashboard.
When the button is clicked, a pop-up window will appear (see image below), prompting the user to select how to send the verification link: E-Mail or SMS. After clicking the “Send Credit Verification Link” button, a pop-up window will appear (see image below). In this window, the user will be able to select either SMS or Email delivery for the verification link.
NOTE: To send the link via SMS, your CRM account will need the SMS platform set up first. (Set up the SMS platform).
If there is a missing phone number or a missing email address in the contact’s record, a variation of one of the two respective warnings below will appear on the page.
Upon clicking the “Send” button, the contact will be sent an E-Mail or SMS, prompting them to verify their information and then asking if they consent to a credit pull.
NOTE: After sending the request, the Verification Link is valid for 90 seconds.
After the consumer completes their verification and consent, the contact’s debts will be added to the client dashboard. Additionally, a PDF copy of their Credit Report will be added to the contact’s Docs Tab, Uploaded Files section.
What the Consumer Sees
An example email of what the consumer would receive is shown below:
When the consumer clicks the link, they will be brought to the following webpage:
Clicking “Continue,” the consumer will be brought to the next page where they can enter their phone number and confirm their Date of Birth.
Upon clicking “Continue,” once more, the consumer will receive an SMS message with a link to consent to the credit pull.
After clicking the 'link to authorize’, the previous webpage will automatically refresh for the consumer to let them know that they are all done!
When Sending the Credit Verification Link via SMS
All cell carriers and providers (like Twilio) are subject to a regulation called A2P10DLC. They will not deliver any messages where the number has not been registered with the campaign registry. You can confirm an SMS delivery status by checking the messaging logs in your Twilio account.
IMPORTANT: If the message appears in Twilio, but is listed as “Undelivered,” please reach out to Twilio directly.
