Overview
Forth Credit (powered by Spinwheel) is an integration that provides a unique solution to obtaining your customer's credit. This paid enhancement improves the credit pull experience and provides a frictionless onboarding experience for DSRPs.
Forth Credit leverages Spinwheel’s technology to verify identities, pull consumer credit, and store it within the Forth CRM. The consumer-facing page is secured via SSL to encrypt all traffic on that page, and individual consumer requests are protected via one-time URLs. Additionally, there is no need to create and maintain multiple sets of credentials for Forth Credit in your account - Forth manages a single credential set for all DSRPs utilizing this service.
This feature sends the consumer a link to authorize their credit to be pulled using a “soft credit inquiry” via Equifax. This link provides a secure experience for consumers to validate their personal information.
Liabilities and debts retrieved in this manner are not changed or modified and will be reported back to the CRM in near real-time for the user to view.
The feature automatically adds debts (including those with a $0.00 balance) to the client file. The user can then choose which debts to enroll. Unlike other credit pull integrations, Forth Credit does not require authorization from the provider, as live approval is secured from the consumers themselves.
The technology behind this integration reduces the pain that DSRPs face when reaching compliance or staying compliant by using a certain credit pull provider. It shifts the burden of customer verification to the consumer, which benefits onboarding a new DSRP, as they can now be up and running faster than other conventional providers.
Finally, this feature adds the Credit Report PDF to the ‘Uploaded Files’ segment of the Docs nested tab (i.e., subtab) within the Client Dashboard.
Activation
Your CRM account must be signed up for Forth Credit. If you have not and are interested, please contact your Account Manager. This feature is enabled as an Add-On and will be enabled for all companies within an account.
Integrations Page Settings
The integration settings page for Forth Credit now allows credentials to be saved for a production key and a sandbox key from Spinwheel. You must have your own Spinwheel credentials to use this integration.
Using Forth Credit
Once set up with Forth Credit, log in to the CRM and go to the “Contacts” tab. From here, create a new contact or search for an existing user by entering the User’s ID in the Search field at the top left of the screen.
Once a contact is saved in the CRM, you'll gain access to the "Pull Credit Report" dropdown menu on the Debts nested tab (i.e., subtab) found on the Client Dashboard.
The “Pull Credit Report” dropdown menu allows agents to access two new tools directly from the Client Dashboard: Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) and Identity Connect (see image below).
Pulling Credit Via Knowledge-Based Authorization (KBA)
Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) is a secure verification method akin to the practices of top financial institutions. This allows agents to verify a consumer’s identity through a series of questions, bypassing the need for the consumer to receive complex links. The data points needed for KBA Credit Pulls are: First and Last Names, and Date of Birth.
NOTE: Social Security Number (SSN) is generally pulled from a contact's record. When credit is pulled via Forth Credit, the full SSN is sent to Spinwheel on the back-end. If there's a problem with the SSN on the consumer's record, a red warning banner will then appear.
Be sure to check the checkbox at the bottom of the page to confirm you understand the sharing of data with Spinwheel's partners. Once complete, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page. You should now see a screen like the example shown below, asking you to answer three (3) security questions in a row. Continue to the 2nd and 3rd questions by clicking "Next Question".
When you have completed all three security questions correctly, you will see a verification screen. This will confirm that the identity was successfully verified and that the credit report is being pulled.
After clicking "Done", the user’s credit score will then appear on the CRM page like the example shown below:
Pulling Credit via Identity Connect
Identity Connect involves a "one-click" link sent to consumers for identity verification via mobile phone, streamlining the process to a mere click. This method offers a quick and efficient credit pull process. The data points needed for Identity Credit Pulls are Date of Birth and Phone Number.
NOTE: The Forth Credit integration accepts SW E164-formatted phone numbers.
Selecting "Identity Connect" opens a new tab displaying the following page. Enter your telephone number and confirm the pre-selected date of birth. Once you have confirmed the information in these two fields, click "Continue".
IMPORTANT: By clicking "Continue," you authorize FORTH Credit via Spinwheel to obtain the credit profile from any consumer reporting agency.
The next prompt asks you to provide the six-digit authorization code sent to the phone number you provided on the previous page. If you do not receive the link, click the "Send again" link.
A Verification confirming your SMS Connection will then appear.
Following the verification, the user's credit score will then appear on the page:
Activity using the IdentityConnect feature of Forth Credit will be reported in the History Nested Tab (i.e., subtab) of the contact.
Additional Features
Credit Score and Payment Visibility
Credit Score and Monthly Payment Visibility are visible within the consumer’s Debts nested tab (i.e., subtab) once their credit has been pulled.
Credit Utilization Rates Visibility
Scrolling to the bottom of the Client Dashboard page is a section titled “Score Models.” This section displays explains the credit score assigned and the credit utilization rate.
Simplified Credit Re-Pull:
One of the most convenient features of Forth Credit is that Agents can now easily re-pull credit reports by clicking the "Pull Credit Report” dropdown menu (see item 1) and then clicking the Re-pull Applicant button (see item 2 in the image below). This pulls a fresh credit pull into the system to ensure you always have the most current debt information.
The Forth Credit system allows 30-day re-trys of credit pulls.
If a co-applicant is involved, the “Pull Credit Report” dropdown menu will provide the following options, providing a sliding toggle to activate the pulling of a particular co-applicant's credit
Pulling Credit via the Forth CRM API
Forth Credit requests can be initiated via API, enabling the user to send notifications to a defined endpoint/webhook so that other API endpoints can then be transacted with. Contact our Support Team for more information at support@setforth.com
