This article describes the task status configuration capability within FORTH system triggers. This article is for CRM Administrators and users with authorized permissions to manage and configure automated system triggers.
It is organized into the following sections:
Overview
Managing unique workflows for different client accounts often requires creating duplicate triggers. The FORTH system lets you assign a specific task status, such as "Urgent" or "Pending Review," based on the trigger event, directly when creating a task via automation.
Prerequisites
- Admin permissions within the FORTH CRM to manage system triggers.
How to Access
- Log in to the FORTH CRM.
- Click the Admin tab and select Settings from the navigation bar.
-
Select Triggers.
- Select an existing trigger to edit or click Create A New Trigger.
- Scroll to the Trigger Setup or Actions section.
How it Works
- In the Event dropdown, select Task Created.
- Locate the Setup Actions section and select Create Task.
- Fill out the required fields such as task type, assigned user, and due date.
-
Use the Task Status dropdown menu to select an active status for the task.
-
These tasks will be configured for your particular account.

- Select Save to apply your changes.
- When the trigger event occurs, the system automatically creates the task with your chosen status already applied.
- If you do not select a status, the system will create the task using your existing default settings, ensuring your current workflows continue to run without interruption.
Troubleshooting/FAQ
What happens if I leave the Task Status field blank?
The trigger will still save and execute normally. The system will apply the default task creation behavior without assigning a specific status.
Why can I not see a specific task status in the dropdown menu?
The dropdown menu only displays statuses that are currently configured as active within your account settings. Verify your status configurations if an option is missing.
Will this change break my existing triggers?
No. This update is completely backward-compatible. Existing triggers using the Create Task action will continue to function exactly as they did before without disruption.
