FHC-XX | Gateway Processor Fee User Interface for Non-Forth Gateways | January 09, 2024 | 0.3 |
This article describes the Gateway Process Fee User Interface (UI) for non-Forth Gateways. There are two gateway fee settings tools. One for Forth Pay that only Forth has access to, and one for all other non-Forth gateways that may be active for any particular account (accessible to us and our clients).
This article focuses on non-Forth gateways and is divided into the following sections:
Overview
This feature eliminates the need to use hard coding to change gateway fee structures per account. This can now be managed directly through a new UI for each account. It also eliminates a lot of the work on the back end when it comes to support tickets.
Fee Settings
The external facing Non-Forth gateway fee settings are the public-facing part of this system, yet are more streamlined. To access Non-Forth gateway fee settings, log in to the CRM and click on the Settlements tab, and then click on Settings from the menu bar (see below).
There is now a new option on the left called “Gateway Fees”. Click on Gateway Fees and you should see a page similar to the one below.
This is where you can select any of the non-Forth payment gateways that you have on an account (see the red highlighted box above). This page has less functionality in that this will not let you establish multiple effective dates and ranges. It just allows for the immediate establishment of new fees.
NOTE: Clients can only set and edit gateway fee settings for gateways they have enabled on their accounts. So if an account has RAM, Global Holdings (formerly Global Client Services), EPPS, and Other enabled, they will only be able to select "RAM", “Global Holdings (formerly Global Client Services)”, "EPPS", and "Other" in the Gateway selection drop-down on this page.
If you select a particular gateway, the various fee structures will auto-complete if the amounts were previously loaded in the Enrollment Plan, as shown below. If you edit that client's enrollment plan, their new monthly service fee is going to reflect the new fee immediately because there's no effective date range.
NOTE: Ensure that the fees listed above are correct before clicking the “Save Settings” button.
If you click on the Enrollments tab and then click on Plans from the menu bar, then scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will see the section called Fees (see image below).
If you click the “Processor Fee” checkbox, the ability to edit information such as discount, start and end dates, and weighted fees, is removed (see below) and such information is drawn dynamically from the Enrollment page, removing the need to re-enter this information. In addition, the fee(s) on the enrollment plan will pull from the Gateway fees set in the UI.
After clicking the "Processor Fee" checkbox, click the checkbox under "Active" and then enter a name for this particular fee in the "Name" field. Select the type of processor fee using the “Processor Type” dropdown menu (see image below). Clients may add monthly fees, setup fees, and per-transaction fees to their enrollment plan(s) this way too.
Some gateways, like RAM and others, have fees stored in credentials (accessible from Admin Tab > Integrations and select the appropriate non-Forth Gateway).
View the Credentials for non-Forth gateways, and you may see such fees listed in the available Fee field(s) shown above. It is here that you would list the monthly gateway fee.
REMINDER: Clients can only update gateways that they can edit. These gateways pull from their service integration credentials, dynamically through API.
