- Overview
- Qualifications for Submission to Credologi DSL
- Activating this Integration
- Submit Loan Application
- Calculations
- Advance Recoups
- Loan Resubmissions
Overview
Credologi offers debt settlement program loans to your clients for consolidating or paying off debt, accessible by our Credologi DSL Integration. This integration is used after a client has already been enrolled in a program and wants a loan to pay off that program.
NOTE: This feature relies on being enrolled in the Credologi DSL program (confirm with Forth Sales if you have any questions at (630) 394-6260.
Qualifications for Submission to Credologi DSL
IMPORTANT: Contacts submitted to Credologi DSL must have enrollment plans where the Earned Performance Fee (EPF) is set as Fee1, or else the calculations for determining the data sent to Credologi will be incorrect, which may affect the contact's eligibility for Credologi DSL.
To submit to Credologi DSL, the following information must be available:
- First and Last Name,
- Date of Birth (DOB),
- Email,
- Balance in Escrow Account,
- FICO Score Saved (This field in the CRM is automatically filled when the contact has their credit pulled via the various credit pull integrations we have).
If a custom settlement offer status is selected (in the example below - "Credologi Offer Status"), then the loan application balance and fee amounts are calculated using the debt settlement balance and settlement fee in the selected settlement offer status (see example below)
NOTE: The Credologi DSL Integration also lets you set debts in an enrollment plan to a custom settlement offer status. This will enable you to specify settlement and performance fee rates for debts to get an accurate balance to submit to Credologi.
Clients can assign the system to calculate performance fees for the Credologi loan balance based on either the original or current debt amount, as defined in Settlements settings.
Activating this Integration
To learn more about activation, features, and pricing, please contact Sales@setforth.com or call (630) 394-6260.
IMPORTANT: If you use CFT as your payment processor, you do not need to populate the bank information mappings for the Credologi integration. Because CFT utilizes unique bank accounts for each individual contact, Credologi coordinates funding directly with CFT to ensure deposits are processed correctly.
Submit Loan Application
- Log in to the FORTH CRM and click on the Contacts tab.
- Search for an existing user by entering the User’s name or ID in the Search field at the top left of the screen.
-
Once you select the contact, click the Loans nested tab (i.e., subtab). You should see “Credologi DSL” and “Submit Pre-Approval Application” next to it (see example below.)
NOTE: "Submit Pre-Approval Application" is enabled only when a loan is in the correct "Prospect" status. Additionally, a "Secondary Assigned Company" is required to be set for this contact to proceed. Otherwise, you may not be able to submit the Credologi DSL application.
-
Click Submit Pre-Approval Application to submit the contact for pre-approval via the pop-up screen shown below.
- Confirm that all information listed is accurate. At this stage, the user is requesting Credologi to act on this request for pre-qualification. Once they have, the user will be notified and Credologi will update the status to Pre-Qualified.
Criteria for Clients
A customer has to meet a certain set of criteria to submit from this page. The conditions used by Credologi DSL are summarized below:
- Six Consecutive Monthly Payments must have cleared.
- Only debts that are in enrolled and/or settled status will be included in the loan application total from Credologi.
- The loan state must be one of the following: AK', `AL`, `AR`, `CA`, `DE`, `DC`, `FL`, `GA`, 'ID', 'IL', `KS`, `KY`, `MA`, `MI`, 'MN', `MS`, `MO`, `MT`, `NM`, `NY`, `NC`, `OH`, `OK`, 'PA', `SC`, 'SD', `TN`, `UT`, `VA`
- The borrower's SSN must be in ‘999-99-9999’ format.
- The Start Date must not be empty.
- When one of the above conditions is not met, display the error message “Cannot Submit: REASON” (The reason is tied to the condition not being met).
If the client qualifies (i.e., all required conditions listed above were met), and if accepted, the Loans nested tab (i.e., subtab) in the menu bar will reflect the application being conditionally reviewed (see below).
6. The client may also cancel the application by clicking Cancel at the bottom right of the pop-up page. Initiate the final request by clicking Submit.
Settlement Amount and Fees Calculations
All enrolled debts are used to calculate the loan balance to be used by the Credologi loan application. The calculation uses an enrolled but unsettled debt's current balance, and then applies a multiplier to calculate a provisionary balance for the loan application.
Reminder: Clients can assign the system to calculate performance fees for the Credologi loan balance based on either the original or current debt amount, as defined in Settlements settings.
The final balance is the sum of expected debts settled balance and associated performance fees (i.e., A+B+C+D+E+F+G, as shown below).
IMPORTANT: Unenrolled debts will not be used in the calculation.
Below is an example of the calculations shown above:
NOTE: Credologi subtracts Contact Balance from the settlement and fee total amounts, less $250 as a buffer.
A notification will then appear at the bottom of the page, whether accepted or not. If not accepted, the Loans nested tab within the Client Dashboard will reflect the denial (see below).
Advance Recoups
The FORTH CRM performs a real-time calculation to subtract any open or pending settlement advance recoup amounts from the consumer’s balance before the data reaches Credologi.
This occurs at the pre-approval request stage. When you submit a request for pre-approval, the CRM automatically identifies any "Advance Recoup" (AR) transaction types associated with the settled debts.
The FORTH CRM then subtracts the recoup amounts from the total debt balance. The balances displayed on the "Final Approval" modal, will reflect the adjusted totals, including the subtracted recoup amounts. This ensures that the financial payload reflects the consumer's actual obligation to the lender.
If there are no advance recoup transactions, calculations proceed as before, ensuring backward compatibility.
Loan Resubmissions
You are able to resubmit loan applications previously marked as "Applicant Withdrawn" or "Ineligible" without changing the status of the prior application to “Withdrawn,”
Navigate to the Loans nested tab and then to the "Applicant Withdrawn" or "Ineligible" loan application you originally submitted.
Click Resubmit Pre-Approval Application to initiate the resubmission process. A new application will be generated, and you can proceed as usual.
