This article was developed to describe how to configure Settlement Fees in the Forth CRM. These settings regulate how the performance fees on the Negotiations interface are defined.
To configure the settlement fees:
- Log in to the CRM, and click on the Settlements tab.
- Click on "Settings" found at the far right side of the Navigation Bar.
- From the left panel, select Settlement Fees.
- Select which Fees Based On amount that you want to base your fee calculations on. You have a choice between "Original Debt Amount" (considered a best practice), Current Debt Amount", or "Verified Debt Amount".
- In the Who Can Reduce Fees section, you can either select by User and/or Role.
NOTE: Anyone you give this permission to, will see the edit icon in the user interface to adjust the amount. - Type a percentage in the Lowest Fee box that the system is allowed to accept. If an amount lower than the one specified is entered, the system returns an error message.
- Click the green Save Settings button found at the top right of the page.
Layout
The Negotiations interface always displays predefined fields that cannot be removed or relocated. They are:

However, additional fields can be customized to display your company's most helpful information in the Contact, Debt, and Snapshot information sections.
The layout settings allow you to:
- Add additional fields.
- Select which section to display the information under.
- Reorder fields as you prefer.
To add and reorder additional fields:
- From the left panel, select Layout.
- Click the appropriate section.
- Select the fields from the Select Fields to Show dropdown menu. As you do this, the new fields appear in the box below.
- To reorder the fields, use your mouse to select the field you want to move and drag it up or down to the location you want.
NOTE: Single-line fields display on the interface in two columns. Multi-line fields used for strings of text require the entire width.
- Click the green Save Settings button found at the top right of the page.
