Overview
Settlement integrity issues arise when scheduled fees do not match what is expected to be collected upon settling a debt (for example, the system calculates 500 as the Earned Performance Fee (EPF) for a debt from the enrollment plan, but there are 600 EPF fees scheduled for that settlement). We deployed a new reporting feature to help you easily identify and resolve such discrepancies between scheduled fees and your clients' enrollment plan fees.
What is the Settlement Integrity Issues Table?
This feature gives you a centralized view of all settlements with integrity issues across your entire account.
Previously, finding these issues was a manual, time-consuming process that required checking each client's enrollment details one-by-one. Now, you have a single location on the Enrollment Details page to spot these discrepancies and take action.
This table contains the following fields:
- Settlement ID: Shows the identification number of a particular settlement.
- Settlement Date: Shows the date the settlement was established.
- Original Creditor: Shows the name of the Original Creditor
- Current Creditor: Shows the name of the Current Creditor (if applicable)
- Enrolled Debt: Displays the dollar amount of the debt enrolled in the debt settlement program.
- Settlement Amount: Displays the dollar amount of the agreed-upon settlement amount.
- Settlement Payments: Displays the dollar amount of settlement payments made to date.
- Settlement Fee: Displays what the system calculates the settlement fee should be based on the performance fee percent from enrollment plans.
- Fees Scheduled: Shows the actual total fee amount scheduled.
- Errors: Displays the error/difference in fees of what should be collected versus what actually is.
Why is this Important?
Maintaining settlement integrity is crucial for several reasons:
- Financial Accuracy: It ensures that the fees you're collecting are correct, protecting your revenue and helping prevent financial mistakes.
- Compliance: It helps you maintain accurate records and adhere to your clients' original enrollment agreements.
- Operational Efficiency: Instead of manually searching for errors, there is a central location you can now use to quickly find and fix issues, saving you valuable time and effort.
Enabling this Feature
To enable the use of this feature, log in to the FORTH CRM, go to the Admin Tab, and click “Roles” in the Navigation Bar.
Scroll down the page to the “Enrollments” section, and click the checkbox next to View Settlement Integrity. Only users with this permission activated can see the Settlement Integrity section on the Enrollment Detail View.
Scroll back up to the top of the page and click Save found in the Navigation Bar (see image below).
How it Works
A Settlement Integrity Issues Table can be found within the Enrollment Details Page, via the Enrollments tab.
Multiple Settlements for a Single Client with Issues
If you have multiple settlements for a single client with integrity issues, all of them will appear on the Issues table, giving you a complete picture of all discrepancies.
Resolved Issues
Once a settlement integrity issue is resolved (i.e., the scheduled fees match the calculated fees), the settlement will automatically fall off the Issues table.
Summary
This feature provides you with a centralized view of every settlement with a fee discrepancy across all your contacts, and includes key information to help you quickly understand each issue. Access to this feature is controlled by a new permission setting under Roles in the Administration module.
