- Summary
- Creating a bank account
- Deleting a bank account (if permissions allow)
- Require Bank Account Settings
- Role Permissions
Overview
The FORTH CRM provides tools that allow you to set up a bank account to draft the client's money or issue checks from, as well as modify or delete bank accounts.
How to Enable
Requiring a bank account to be on file before client enrollment can be specified in Enrollment Settings (Enrollments Tab > Settings > Workflow Settings. See more in our Enrollment Settings article (Opens in New Window).
Role Permissions
The system offers tools to prevent users from interacting with or changing fields in the Bank Account nested tab. See more in our User Roles and Permissions help center article (Opens in New Window).
How to Access
- Log in to the FORTH CRM
- Click the Contacts tab and select the client you wish to modify.
- From the Client Dashboard of that client, click the Bank Account nested tab.
How to Use
Creating a bank account
- Select either of the three (3) radio button options below:
- Check Paying Client; or
- Debit Paying Client (default selection); or
- Linked Sponsor.
IMPORTANT: If you select Check Paying Client, the system will insert check payments instead of debits in the Enrollment Plan.
- Enter the banking information in the appropriate fields.
- Begin by entering the 9-digit routing number into the Routing Number field.
- Fill in the remaining bank account details highlighted by a small red asterisk (see image above).
Routing Number Validation:
If the routing number you enter into the Routing Number field is not valid, the FORTH CRM prevents the saving of invalid or unrecognized bank details. You will encounter this validation when adding a new bank account to a contact profile or when editing/updating existing bank account details.
-
Once you have filled out all required fields, click Save Bank (or Save Changes if editing).
- If routing number is valid: The FORTH CRM confirms the submission and saves the record successfully.
-
If routing number is invalid or unrecognized: The system blocks the save action. An inline error message will appear directly under the Routing Number field indicating the number is unrecognized.
-
If you receive an error, verify the 9-digit number with the client's check or financial institution and update the field to proceed.
Note: You cannot proceed with creating enrollment plans or sending documents until a valid routing number is saved.
Deleting a bank account (if permissions allow)
- From the Client Dashboard, click the Bank Account nested tab.
- At the bottom of the page, click Delete Bank (see image above), and then click Yes when the Confirm Deletion popup displays.
