| FHC-SETI-01 | Resolving Settlement Integrity Warnings | September 29, 2026 | 0.3 |
- Target Audience & Permissions: This article is for CRM users, accounting personnel, and settlement managers who have the View Settlement Integrity permission enabled.
This article describes the steps to resolve Settlement Integrity Issues within the FORTH system. It is organized into the following sections:
Overview
Settlement integrity issues happen when scheduled fees do not match expected collection amounts. Finding these discrepancies previously required a manual, time-consuming check of each client's enrollment details. FORTH now provides a centralized view of all settlement fee errors to save time and protect revenue.
Prerequisites
You must have admin access to the FORTH CRM with the View Settlement Integrity permission enabled.
- To enable, log in to the FORTH CRM, go to the Admin Tab, and click Roles in the Navigation Bar.
- Scroll down the page to the Enrollments section,
- Click the checkbox next to View Settlement Integrity. Only users with this permission activated can see the Settlement Integrity section on the Enrollment Detail View.
Scroll back up to the top of the page and click Save found in the Navigation Bar (see image below).
How to Access
- Log in to the FORTH CRM.
- Click the Enrollments tab.
- Select an item from the table displayed, and you will be taken to the Enrollment Details page.
How it Works
The system automatically populates the Settlement Integrity table when a discrepancy exists between expected fees and scheduled fees.
Follow these steps to monitor and resolve fee validation issues:
-
From the Enrollment Details page, locate the Settlement Integrity table.
- Review the following fields in the Settlement Integrity Issues table to identify the error:
- Settlement ID: The identification number of the settlement.
- Settlement Date: The date you established the settlement.
- Original Creditor: The name of the original creditor.
- Current Creditor: The name of the current creditor.
- Enrolled Debt: The total dollar amount enrolled in the debt settlement program.
- Settlement Amount: The agreed-upon settlement dollar amount.
- Settlement Payments: The dollar amount of settlement payments made to date.
- Settlement Fee: The calculated settlement fee based on the performance fee percentage from enrollment plans.
- Fees Scheduled: The actual total fee amount scheduled.
- Errors: The difference between the expected fee collection and the actual scheduled fee.
- Check the Errors field to see the real-time difference. The system processes the following transaction types as negative offsets to correct the total automatically:
- Transfer (Forth Pay gateway)
- Pullback (Forth Pay gateway)
- Reversal (CFT gateway)
- Refund Reversal (CFT gateway)
- If you have multiple settlements for a single client with integrity issues, all of them will appear on the Issues table, giving you a complete picture of all discrepancies.
- Confirm that the system automatically removes the settlement from the table once the net fees match the expected settlement fee. Once a settlement integrity issue is resolved (i.e., the scheduled fees match the calculated fees), the settlement will automatically fall off the Issues table.
Troubleshooting/FAQ
Why is a specific transaction reversal still showing an error flag?
The system only includes transfers, pullbacks, reversals, and refund reversals if they link directly to a cleared Earned Performance Fee (EPF) transaction. If the transaction is unlinked, the system excludes it from the integrity check.
Do I need to manually clear historical false positives from the dashboard?
No. When this update deploys, historical settlements with properly linked adjustments resolve automatically and disappear from the error log.
Why can I not see the Settlement Integrity table on the Enrollment Details page?
Your user role might lack the necessary permission. An administrator must navigate to Admin > Roles > Enrollments and check the box next to View Settlement Integrity for your user role.
